Max Muncy and the Heritage Hawks (TX) competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2002 during Tournament 2, placing second in the Around the Horn skills competition.
Max graduated from Keller High School (Keller, TX) where he played three varsity baseball seasons, helping his team to a 28-7 record and District 5-5A, regional and area championships in 2008. His accolades include two-time All-District 5-5A selection, 2009 Offensive Player of the Year, 2009 Under Armour All-American, 2009 Class 5A all-state selection, and 2008 First-Pitch Classic all-tournament.
Despite being drafted in the 2009 Major League Baseball Amateur draft by the Cleveland Indians, Max attended and played baseball at Baylor University (Waco, TX). Three seasons playing infield with the Bears, he earned 2011 Second-Team All-Midwest Region (ABCA), 2011 First-Team All-Big 12 (coaches; Waco Tribune-Herald), 2011 Big 12 Conference Player of the Week (May 16), 2011 Larry Isbell Baylor Most Valuable Player, 2010 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America (Collegiate Baseball), and 2010 NCAA Forth Worth Regional All-Tournament.
Max transitioned to the professionals in 2012 when the Oakland Athletics selected him in the 2012 MLB draft. He made his major league debut on April 25, 2015. He was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the beginning of the 2017 season where he has had several successful years including two World Series titles in 2020 and 2024.
