John Nogowski

John Nogowski competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park with four different teams: 2004 – week 7 with the Tallahassee Titans (FL) and week 11 with the Star Maker Select (CA); 2005 – week 7 with the Tallahassee Titans (FL) and week 11 with the Team Rawlings (CA). John completed his first trip to Dreams Park by helping his team win the tournament, defeating Beaver Valley Red (PA), 7-3. The Titans made a second straight trip to the Week 7 title game in 2005 and once again took home the championship with a 5-2 victory over the Houston Heat (TX). It was during his third trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park that John set the record for Most hits by a player in a week with 30.

John graduated from North Florida Christian (Tallahassee, FL) where he helped his baseball team clinch two state titles as an eighth grader in 2007 and as a senior in 2011. The team finished as state runner-up during his freshman year. John’s accolades include a three-time first team All-State honoree as a sophomore, junior and senior and was named 2A Player of the Year twice. He recorded .530 batting average with 12 home runs and 40 RBI as a senior. John also played basketball at his high school for five years, scoring 1,000 career points, and was a member of the Key Club.

John continued his academic and baseball careers at Florida State University (Tallahassee, FL). He spent three collegiate seasons on the diamond being named an All-ACC First Team his junior year (2014). The infielder made the leap to professional baseball in 2014 when the Oakland Athletics picked him in the 34th round of the Major League Baseball draft. John was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 2017.
