Brad Brach

Brad Brach competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park with the Turkey Swamp Dragons (NJ) during Week 7 in 1998.

 

Brad graduated from Freehold Township High School (Freehold, NJ) where he was a three-year letter winner for the baseball team. During his senior year, the team was A-North Champs and Central Jersey Group IV finalists and Brad was named first-team A-North, All-Monmouth County, all-district and Central Jersey Group IV while earning A-North Pitcher of the Year award and Asbury Park Press Monmouth County Player of the Week honors. Brad also played in the Carpenter Cup and the American Legion All-Star game where he was honored with the MVP award. In addition to baseball, Brad also played basketball, leading his team to both the Kuhnert Memorial Tournament championship and A-North championship, earning second-team all-district and All-A-North honors as a forward.

 

Brad continued his education and baseball career at Monmouth University (West Long Branch University, NJ) where he was a two-time first-team All-NEC member and 2007 NEC Pitcher of the Year. Brad is the all-time Monmouth leader in career wins (29) and strikeout (277).

 

Brad was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 42nd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his major league debut on August 31, 2011. Brad was traded to the Baltimore Orioles on November 25, 2013. He was named to his first MLB All-Star game in 2016. Brad was traded to the Atlanta Braves on July 29, 2018.
