Jay Eardly and the Puritas Eagles (OH) competed a Cooperstown Dreams Park in 1996. Jay threw a complete game 2-hitter in pool play, helping his team go undefeated and reach the championship game against the Chino Valley Mavericks (CA).

Jay graduated from St. Edward High School (Lakewood, OH) where he was a member of the school’s baseball team, being named captain and MVP of the 2002 season. His collegiate career was spent at Elon University (Elon, NC), earning his degree in 2006.

With his wife and three children, Jay resides in Charlotte, NC, where he coaches at Myers Park Trinity Little League (oldest little league in NC). In 2024, Jay returned to Cooperstown Dreams Park as a coach of his oldest son’s team, Charlotte Colts (NC). The Colts won the Tournament #13 Around the Horn Plus, went undefeated in pool play and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.
