Cooperstown Dreams Park, the unrivaled youth baseball facility nestled in the heart of magical Home of Baseball, Cooperstown NY, is proud to announce that the youth baseball team, BigEasy Walk-On's from Metairie, Louisiana has participated in the prestigious Cooperstown Dreams Park and American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament, which took place on June 3rd, 2023.

Spanning 150 acres of picturesque land, Cooperstown Dreams Park boasts an extraordinary collection of 22 professionally groomed and lighted real grass fields. Enclosed by towering eight-foot-high stadium walls, this one-of-a-kind venue sets the stage for a truly unforgettable baseball experience. Since its inception in 1996, Cooperstown Dreams Park has gone beyond the game of baseball, offering an enriching cultural journey that leaves lasting memories for all participating teams and their families.

While at Cooperstown Dreams Park, players and coaches will have the opportunity to share their hometown stories, trade pins, and compete against top teams from across the United States in pursuit of the weekly national title. Notably, the BigEasy Walk-On's will be forever enshrined in the esteemed American youth Baseball Hall of Fame.

Dreams Park:  What are your team's accomplishments prior to coming to the Dreams Park?

Gary Schmidt: Coming together to form lasting friendships.

Dreams Park:  Is there something you would like to say about your team attending Cooperstown Dreams Park this summer?

Gary Schmidt: We have looked forward to this trip for 5 years.

Dreams Park:  What brought your team to Cooperstown Dreams Park?

Gary Schmidt: It’s the Mecca.

Dreams Park: How did you hear about Cooperstown Dreams Park?

Gary Schmidt: From our previous teams.

Dreams Park: How important is the sport of baseball in your local community?

Gary Schmidt: It’s an important part of friendship building and builds character.

Dreams Park: What does your team do to better their local community?

Gary Schmidt: We are mentors to the younger teams in our organization.

Dreams Park: What aspect of Cooperstown Dreams Park is your team most looking forward to?

Gary Schmidt: Bunking together and hitting home runs.

Dreams Park: What does it mean to you and your team to be able to play baseball in Cooperstown NY, the home of baseball?
