Beaver Valley Continue Their Winning Streak in Cooperstown Baseball Tournament
In Cooperstown, N.Y., Beaver Valley 12U Red showcased exemplary skills at the Cooperstown Dreams Park Experience. A standout moment was when Beaver Local's Reid Schwerha hit a two-run homer in the championship game's sixth inning at Little Majors Stadium. This crucial play secured Beaver Valley an 8-6 victory over Mission Baseball from Charlotte, N.C. Throughout the four-day event, Beaver Valley boasted an impressive record, winning all 10 games. The team's performance statistics were also commendable: 60 home runs, 178 runs scored, and just 44 runs conceded. The season wrapped with Beaver Valley logging a 48-11-1 record.
Meanwhile, in Jennerstown, Pa., Brandon Huff from East Palestine marked another win under his belt in the CRS Super Truck Series. Racing at Jennerstown Speedway, a swift half-mile asphalt circuit, Huff emerged victorious among 13 trucks in a gripping 50-lap race, also securing the title of the fastest qualifier. This triumph wasn't his first; he clinched a win at Sandusky Speedway just a month prior on June 24. Fans can anticipate more action as the CRS series moves to Painesville Speedway this coming Saturday.
