Inning -By-Inning Championship Game Information


First Inning:
Boys of Baseball (AL): Julius Gaines hit a high drive to center that the centerfielder could not handle for an error and Gaines ended up at second. Jackie Lopez singled to center with Gaines going to third. Lopez stole second base. Michael Gill ground out short to first with Gaines scoring and Lopez ending up at third. Delino DeShields popped out to short for the second out. Skyler Ewing struck out swinging. One run, one hit, one error and one left on base.


Southern California Redwings (CA): Daniel Camarena flied out to center. Christian Lopes walked. Erick Cruz, on a hit and run, singled to left field with Lopes advancing to second. Josh Anderson homered to centerfield scoring Lopes and Cruz. Connor Joe took a third strike for the second out. Marcos Flores singled to center field. Alex Sauceda struck out swinging. Three runs, three hits, no errors and one left on base.


Second Inning:
Boys of Baseball (AL): Dylan Ivey struck out swinging and the putout was recorded catcher to first. Jo-EL Bennett was hit by a pitch. Bennett stole second base. Dalton DiNatale, the designated hitter for Jeffery Newberry, grounded out second to first with Bennett going to third. Bert Guzman was hit by a pitch. Julius Gaines grounded back to the pitcher, Kyle Hayes, and was thrown out at first. No runs, no hits, no errors and two left on base.

Southern California Redwings (CA): Kyle Hayes led off by grounding out second to first. Clayton Royer popped up to the shortstop. Daniel Camarena struck out swinging but had to be thrown out catcher to first. No runs, no hits, no errors and none left on base.


Third Inning:
Boys of Baseball (AL): Jackie Lopez grounded out to first unassisted. Michael Gill walked. Gill stole second base. Delino DeShields doubled past third and down the left field line scoring Gill. DeShields stole third base. Skyler Ewing grounded out third to first for the out while DeShields scored. Dylan Ivey was called out on strikes. Two runs, one hit, no errors and none left on base.

Southern California Redwings (CA): Michael Gill now in to pitch for the Boys of Baseball. Christian Lopes on first on an infield single to short. Erick Cruz flied out to right field. Josh Anderson singled to right sending Lopes to third. Cruz stole second base. Connor Joe grounded back to the pitcher who cut Lopes down trying to score. Joe on first on the fielder's choice and Cruz went to third. Marcos Flores struck out swinging. No runs, two hits, no errors and two left on base.


Fourth Inning:
Boys of Baseball (AL): Jo-EL Bennett singled to left center. Dalton DiNatale singled to advance Bennett to second. Brian Roldan came in to pitch for the Southern California Redwings. Bert Guzman grounded into a fielder's choice, third to second, as DiNatale was out and Bennett went to third. Julius Gaines bunted back to the pitcher who tried to get Bennett at home but he was safe on the fielder's choice. Jackie Lopez flied out to center. Michael Gill popped out to the first baseman to end the inning. One run, two hits, no errors and two left on base.

Southern California Redwings (CA): Brian Roldan struck out swinging. Kyle Hayes grounded out pitcher to first. Clayton Royer flied out to the centerfielder. No runs, no hits, no errors and none left on base.


Fifth Inning:
Boys of Baseball (AL): Josh Anderson came in to pitch for the Southern California Redwings. Delino DeShields hammered a long home run over the left field wall. Skyler Ewing struck out swinging. Dylan Ivey struck out swinging. Jo-EL Bennett struck out swinging. One run, one hit, no errors and none left on base.

Southern California Redwings (CA): Daniel Camarena struck out on a called third strike. Christian Lopes singled to right field. Erick Cruz singled to center sending Lopes to third after the centerfielder tried to throw Cruz out at first and the ball got past the first baseman. Josh Anderson grounded out short to first for the second out and Lopes scoring and Cruz going to second. Connor Joe flied out to the right fielder. One run, two hits, one error and one left on base.

Sixth Inning:
Boys of Baseball (AL): Dalton DiNatale singled to center. Bert Guzman singled to left with DiNatale going to second. A passed ball advanced the runner to second and third. Julius Gaines grounded out to the first baseman unassisted and the runners held. Jackie Lopez flied out to shallow center for the second out. Michael Gill was called out on a third strike. No runs, two hits, no errors and two left on base.

Southern California Redwings (CA): Marcos Flores grounded out to the first baseman unassisted. Antonio Duenes pinch hit for Brian Roldan singled to right field. Joseph Favela pinch ran for Duenes. Ernie Zaragoza pinch hit for Kyle Hayes and grounded into a game ending double play, short to second to first. No runs, one hit, no errors and none left on base.

Participated in 236 age-group tournament. The organization has completed in numerous championships and top finishes have come from a broad base of national caliber and world series level competitions.
The team is comprised of 14 players who just met last Saturday.

Delino DeShields is the 2005 N.A.T.C. Road Runner champion.

2003 - Champions for the following tournaments: USSSA Halloween Haunt; USSSA Halloween Bash; USSSA Fall Nationals at the Field of Dreams Riverside; Triple Corwn Baseball Fall Nationals (Las Vegas, NV); Fall-Winter Championship Qualifier Tournament; USSSA Kick Off Classic; Father's Day Tournament; and USA vs Mexico. USSSA Christmas Classic 2nd place, 6th Annual USSSA Turkey Shoot NIT 3rd place, USSSA Veteran's Day Classic 2nd place, California State Tournament 4th place, USSSA World Series 5th place.

2004 - Champions of the following tournaments: USSSA Kick Off Classic; USSSA Western Regional World Series; USSSA Cages Plus Memorial Day Classic Super NIT; and Cinco De Mayo Classic. California State Finals 2nd place, Elite 16 World Series (Orlando, FL) 3rd place, USSSA Spring Classic 2nd place, Super Series Beach Classic 2nd place, NBC Dead Presidents Tournament 2nd place, USSSA MLK Super NIT 5th place.

2005 - Champions of the following tournaments: USSSA MLK Elite; Hart Tournament; Elite NIT in Alabama; USSSA Qualifier; and Dragons NIT Tournament. Father's Day Tournament 2nd place, Elite World Series 2nd place.
