Dreams really do come true!
Ceremonial opening pitch for the Week #7 Championship Game. One week prior to competing at Cooperstown Dreams Park,
Blake Crouch
of the
Bergen Thunder (New Jersey)
suffered an injury to his thumb that removed him from this week's tournament. However, during Tuesday's game the team chanted Blake's name and the coach's son told his father he would give up his at bat for Blake. Reluctantly, Coach Rich Andretta let Blake bat. His only trip to the plate at Cooperstown Dreams Park and with one hand, Blake sent the ball over the fence for a home run. Blake Crouch threw the ceremonial opening pitch for Week #7's championship game to his teammate, Kenny Andreatta, the player who gave up his at bat for Blake.
