Brockman singles up the middle and is thrown out by the center fielder trying to stretch it into a double for the second out. Cartee singles up the middle. Christmas walks to put runners on first and second. Smiley hits a no-doubt three-run home run to put the Evo Shield Canes up 3-1. Boyd grounds out to shortstop up the middle followed by a nice scoop by the first baseman to end the inning. The Evo Shield Canes Schuldt brings in the southpaw Jackson Ferris as pitcher. Campbell grounds to the pitcher who throws it over to first for the first out of the inning. Cartee goes down swinging, giving Boudreau his first strike out for the second out of the inning, bases still loaded. Christmas hits a single to right field which scores Evans, and the right fielder then has a throwing error throwing it to third causing Schuldt to score, bringing the score to 8-1 in favor of the Evo Shield Canes. Runners on first and second with two outs. Smiley draws a two out walk, loading the bases a second time this inning. Boyd takes advantage of the loaded bases and hits a grand slam out of the park to left-center. The Evo Shield Canes are widening the gap leading 12-1. Barlow follows with a home run of his own to center field, barely clearing the wall. The Evo Shield Canes extend their lead to 13-1 with only 2 outs. Herkey slaps a single to left. The inning concludes with Ferris popping out to the shortstop. The Evo Shield record 10 runs on 10 hits and leave 1 runner on base. The Evo Shield Schuldt lead 13-1.

Yelton grounds out to third for the first out of the inning. Schnieder then grounds out to second for the second out of the inning. Blum draws a walk to extend the inning.
