C. Ketchum singled and stole a base, but was left out at second to end the top half of the inning.
#5 Crieve Hall M.A.D. Mavericks (TN)
Mavericks left the bases loaded in the inning, but were able to score 1 unearned on a botched pick-off play by 3B Rhoades.
Tied 1-1 headed to the 3rd.
Third
Inning:
#14 Arkansas Storm (AR)
Stracener led off the inning by hitting a low breaking ball into the LF bleachers to give the Storm a 2-1 lead. After the next two were retired, Jumper followed with a 2 out single and stolen base to set Rhoudes up to knock him in with an RBI single. The flood gates then opened on a 2 RBI double from the SS Morris, knocking in Rhoudes and McGee. 5-1 Storm.
#5 Crieve Hall M.A.D. Mavericks (TN)
Stracener took over on the mound for the Arkansas Storm in the third and was attacked by the M.A.D. Mavericks offense allowing hits to Collins, Burklow, and Dillehay to surrender two runs in the inning.
Crieve Hall answered in the bottom half of the inning to keep it close. 5-3 Arkansas Storm after the 3rd.
Fourth
Inning:
#14 Arkansas Storm (AR)
C. Allen drove the first pitch out of the yard for the second straight inning and was then followed by another home run from Pwoell for back-to-back jacks, knocking Smithson out of the game.
Dillehay came in and shut the door in the top of the fourth for the Crieve Hall M.A.D. Mavericks, but they still trail 7-3.
#5 Crieve Hall M.A.D. Mavericks (TN)
Wilkins and Carter hit back-to-back jacks of their own with 1 out in the inning to once again provide life for the Mavericks. Morris came into pitch for Stracener, but Hitt kept the pressure on with a single and then advanced to third on two separate wild pitches. Collins continued to take advantage of the sloppy play from the Arkansas Storm and reached base on an error by 2B Allen, Hitt would score on the play to cut the lead to 1.
However, Arkansas Storm were able to escape with a 7-6 lead after the 4th.
Fifth Inning:
#14 Arkansas Storm (AR)
Uttermark did not allow the Mavericks to stay close for very long as he blasted a two run dinger out of the stadium in left center field to plate McGee as well.
Storm lead 9-6.
#5 Crieve Hall M.A.D. Mavericks (TN)
Morris is able to put up a much needed 0 for the Arkansas Storm by striking out the side in the inning.
9-6 Storm headed to the final frame.
Sixth
Inning:

Langley was able to stop any bleeding in the top half by setting the Storm down in order, the Mavericks will have their last chance for romance in the bottom half.

Jumper entered the game for the Storm and dominated the inning in true closer fashion, striking out the side and making the Arkansas Storm the 2016 Week 1 Champions.
