The opening
pitch for the N.A.T.C. championship game
was thrown out by Matthew Parker of the
Connetquot Chiefs out of Long Island, New
York. Matthew waited three years to
compete at Cooperstown Dreams Park,
passing up two opportunities to play with
different teams so he could participate
with the Chiefs. Unfortunately, due to a
baseball injury he suffered just ten days
before his arrival at Cooperstown Dreams
Park, Matthew was unable to compete this
week. He threw out the first pitch from
the mound to his father, Andy Parker. The
above picture shows Matthew Parker (left)
with unpire Jon Krug (right) of
Jacksonville, Florida.
