David Price

 

David played for the Tennessee All Stars from Bell Buckle, Tennessee during the week of July 4th in 1998 at Cooperstown Dreams Park.

He was drafted the #1 pick in the 2007 Major League Draft after a collegiate career with Vanderbilt. He is emerging as one of the Tampa Bay Rays top young pitching stars. He went 12-1 with a 2.30 earned run average in 19 minor-league games at three levels before elevating to the major league club in 2008. He posted a 1.93 ERA in one start and four relief appearances with Tampa Bay during the 2008 regular season. His first career save came in game #7 of the American League Championship Series against the Boston Red Sox. In game 2 of the World Series vs. Philadelphi Phillies he closed out the Rays Victory.
