Walter Daley
attended Cooperstown Dreams Park in 1997,
playing during the week of July 12th (Week
2). Although a Los Angeles, CA, native,
Walter competed for the Blue Stone
All-Stars, a New York based organization
that was comprised of players from all
over the country. Walter's stats at
Cooperstown Dreams Park included a batting
average of over .500 for the
tournament.
Following his experience at Cooperstown
Dreams Park, Walter attended Loyola High
School (Los Angeles, CA) where he
continued to excel on the baseball field,
as well as in Spanish club, and the speech
and debate group. After graduating with
honors from Loyola, Walter enrolled at and
attended University of Rochester
(Rochester, NY). At the University of
Rochester, he received the Rush Rhees
Scholarship and was a member of the
Yellowjacket baseball team as well as a
participant in theatre.
As of 2009, Walter is working toward a
graduate degree in Journalism at the
University of Southern California's
Annenberg School for Communication (Los
Angeles, CA). Walter has been a mainstay
at Cooperstown Dreams Park, spending
summers at the park since 1998. Walter is
currently Cooperstown Dreams Park's color
commentator every Thursday night for the
championship games.
