The NJ Mariners Baseball Club,
established in 2004 by Scott Luna is based
in Lodi, NJ and features 10 teams ages
9-15. The NJ Mariners have taken baseball
and winter training to new levels in NJ.
Players undergo a 12 week winter training
program and the club uses all former pro
and college players to train their squads.
The club also stresses academic excellence
with report card requirements to establish
playing eligibility. 2008 highlights
include the Cerbo League Spring
Championship, Ripken Baseball Tournament,
Sports at the Beach and a 2nd place finish
in the Great American Classic Tournament.
In 2007 the team also finished in first
place in the Cerbo Spring League.

Formed in 1995 by Steve Cosgrove, the
BOYS OF BASEBALL - NATIONAL TRAVEL TEAM
creates and offers baseball learning and
tournament opportunities for players ages
5-HS/18 & Under. To date, 296
age-group tournaments have been conducted
throughout 14 states, including Hawaii,
Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. The 2008
NATC represents the 49th week that BOB-NTT
has participated at Cooperstown Dreams
Park, since its first trip in late August
1997. Program highlights include: 2005
NATC Champions...2006 NATC
Semi-finalist...2007 NATC
Semi-finalist...only program with a team
in the NATC final four the past three
years...48 tournament
championships...1842-182 all-time W-L
record...30 players selected to the USA
BASEBALL national age-group teams (14, 16,

The Bulls have been involved in
baseball in the Long Island area for over
five years. Over that period of time they
have competed and won championships in the
National Junior Baseball League, including
division championships in the Fall,
Spring, and Summer Leagues of this
organization. They were champions in both
the Central and Regional Divisions of
NJBL. They were the un-defeated champion
of this organization in the fall of 2006
and in the spring of 2007. The Bulls have
competed in the prestigious Boys of Summer
Baseball League this summer and were a
playoff team and led the league in runs
scored in 2008. Three times over the past
four years the Bulls have finished
un-defeated in league play. Every player
on this team has been a member of the
Williamsport entry of the St.
James-Smithtown Little League. In the fall
of 2007 the Bulls were a playoff team at
Baseball Heaven in one of the best
programs for baseball in the Long Island
area. Four members of the Bulls were
members of the un-defeated Nesaquake
Middle School baseball team of 2008. The
Bulls overall record in 2007-2008 is
44wins and 11 losses.

Jackson Labor Day Bash. Many of the
players on the team also reached the
finals of the NJ 12U Cal Ripken
tournament."

U-12 Purple won the SuperBash
Tournament in Seattle over Memorial Day
weekend, defeating the Bellevue Dragons
(coached by former Mariner Jay Buhner).
The Dragons had not lost a tournament up
until this one. U-12 Purple played in the
Triple Crown Championship Tournament in
Gilbert, AZ held March 27-30. We were
seeded 7th (might have been 8th). U-12
Purple played in the USSSA West Coast
Nationals Tournament in Portland, OR held
July 31-August 3. A special note: Three of
the U-12 Purple players (Sam Boone, Kevin
Kocher, and Ben Tracey) were on the
Richmond Little League All Star team. They
were the runner-ups in the Little League
Washington State tournament (Mill Creek
won the State title and is currently
participating in the Little League World
Series).
